Aspect Ratio Preservation and Why It Matters for Brands
· Best Practices
Stretching or squishing a logo damages a brand's image. Automatic aspect ratio preservation prevents this.
Brand guidelines are serious business. Companies invest heavily in their visual identity, and a distorted logo can damage that perception. Aspect ratio preservation ensures that never happens on your stream.
When this setting is enabled (which it is by default), logos scale proportionally regardless of the size or position you set. A square logo stays square. A wide banner stays wide. No stretching, no squishing.
This might seem like a small detail, but it's one that sponsors notice. A partner reviewing your stream footage will immediately spot if their logo is distorted, and it reflects poorly on your professionalism.
For logos with unusual proportions—very tall, very wide, or irregularly shaped—the overlay automatically adjusts the bounding box to maintain the correct proportions. This means you can set a target size and trust that the logo will look exactly as intended.
