Creating Effective Sponsor Shoutout Scripts
· Sponsorship Tips
Visual logo display is just one part of sponsorship fulfillment. Verbal shoutouts add personal value.
While automated logo rotation handles the visual side of sponsorships, verbal shoutouts add a personal touch that sponsors value highly.
Keep shoutouts natural. "Before we jump into the game, I want to thank [Sponsor] for supporting this stream" flows better than a robotic reading of advertising copy.
The bottom scroller can display scripts for your reference. Add a message like "Shoutout: [Sponsor] — gaming peripherals, use code STREAM for 10%" as a prompt. You see it, deliver the shoutout naturally, and viewers see the sponsor logo on screen simultaneously.
Timing matters. Shoutouts during natural breaks (between games, during loading screens, at the start and end of streams) feel organic. Mid-action shoutouts feel forced and can disrupt the viewing experience.
Personalize when possible. If you actually use a sponsor's product, say so genuinely. "I've been using this keyboard for three months and it's been great" is more credible than generic praise.
Track shoutout frequency in your stream notes. When reporting to sponsors, you can add "plus verbal shoutouts in X streams" alongside your impression data for a more complete picture of the value delivered.
