Night Mode and Visual Comfort for Late-Night Streams
· Tips & Tricks
The dark theme isn't just aesthetic—it reduces eye strain for you and your viewers during long sessions.
Extended streaming sessions, especially at night, take a toll on your eyes. The platform's dark-themed interface is designed with visual comfort in mind.
The near-black background (#0F0F0F) with carefully chosen contrast ratios reduces the amount of light hitting your eyes during long sessions. The Electric Red accents provide visual hierarchy without harsh brightness.
For the overlay itself, logo opacity controls let you dim logos during late-night streams. A slightly lower opacity feels less intrusive in a darker viewing environment.
Viewers benefit too. Bright, harsh overlays on dark game footage create an uncomfortable contrast. The transparent overlay with well-sized, appropriately opaque logos maintains visual harmony regardless of the underlying content's brightness.
The Inter font was chosen partly for readability in low-light conditions. Its clean lines and generous spacing make text easy to read without squinting.
For streamers who alternate between day and night sessions, custom themes let you save different configurations for each scenario. A daytime theme with slightly more opaque logos and a nighttime theme with softer settings—switch with a click.
