Troubleshooting Common Overlay Issues
· Tutorials
When something doesn't look right, these common fixes resolve most overlay problems quickly.
Most overlay issues have simple solutions. Before reaching out for support, try these common fixes.
Logos not showing: Check that the sponsor is enabled and not scheduled for a future time window. Verify the overlay URL is correct in your browser source settings.
Overlay not updating: The WebSocket connection might have dropped. Refresh the browser source in OBS (right-click > Refresh). If using Streamlabs, remove and re-add the source.
Logos appearing in wrong positions: Verify your browser source dimensions match your canvas resolution. A 1920x1080 overlay displayed in a 1280x720 source will position logos incorrectly.
Overlay background not transparent: Ensure "Custom CSS" in the browser source properties is empty or doesn't set a background color. The overlay page itself is transparent by default.
Performance issues: Try lightweight mode if the overlay is causing frame drops. Also check that "Hardware Acceleration" is enabled in OBS settings.
Changes delayed: Normal sync is instant. If changes take more than a few seconds, check your internet connection. A page refresh forces a full resync.
